The African Studies Library (ASL) at Boston University is open to the BU family along with the general public. The library is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday and is located at; 771 Commonwealth Avenue, Floor 6, Boston, MA, 02215. You can call library staff at 617-353-3726.
I have never visited this library, but as the media relations expert for National African Community Organization Inc.,I find great value in having knowledge about Africa. The New England area has Africans and descendants of Africa ranging from North, South, East, West, and Central Africa and although I am a 1st-generation half-Kenyan American and half-Nigerian American, I consider it an obligation to keep informed about African issues, just as I have kept informed about American ones.
